Hide and Seek

The game of Hide and Seek isn't just for kids; it's like a message from God. Even when we try to hide our emotional pain, God sees us and loves us.
During a recent worship service at church, I felt God inviting me to deeper healing. I felt a release of emotions and cried.
It brought to mind the times I played Hide and Seek with the children in therapy, where they'd hide in my office. As I found them, I'd say, "I see you; you're found," offering them trust and love.
Hide and Seek was a primary play theme often initiated by young children who have experienced neglect, abandonment, and trauma.
In a moment of worship, I felt God saying to me, "I see you, and you're found." He invites us to stop hiding our wounds and accept His healing love.

Remember God sees you, and You are found!

One scripture that aligns with the theme of being seen and found by God despite our attempts to hide is Psalm 139:7-10 (NIV):

"Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast."

This passage illustrates the idea that no matter where we go or how we try to hide, God is always with us, seeing us and knowing us deeply. It reinforces the message that we are found and loved by God, even in our most hidden places.
